Yarilo Music Promotes Advanced Music Studies through Scholarship Program
Yarilo Music is pleased to announce the establishment of a scholarship fund within the society to be awarded to young musicians in advanced music studies. To raise funds for the scholarship, Yarilo is holding a Students Helping Students concert, featuring several young musicians who play at an advanced level. All proceeds from the concert will go towards the Yarilo scholarship program.
Presented alongside Moscow Conservatory Doctor of Music, Anna Levy, this concert promises to be a rare and exciting spectacle, covering diverse musical genres, from the delicate Baroque of J.S. Bach, to the romantic harmonies of Chopin, and the bold beauty of Rachmaninoff. The evening will be completed with delicious Thai style hors d’oeuvres from our award-winning sponsor caterer
Yarilo Advanced Music Scholarship
Many musicians well know, in a world of competing talents, the most recognizable professional certification that a Canadian artist can obtain is the ARCT diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Obtaining certification at an advanced level is no small feat, demanding in determination, discipline, and a relentless strive towards excellence.
As demanding as the practising regiment is the financial requirements for completing all the exams for advanced certification. With the practical exam itself priced over $600, the year of preparations leading up to certification normally costs thousands of dollars.
Yarilo is seeking to help out the young performers ready to make that commitment towards professionalism and excellence, by offering a substantial scholarship of $2000 towards advanced music studies of a young musician, through an open competition.
